Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the CSE Buddy mobile application ("App," "Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CSE Buddy. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

1.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance.

2. Description of Service

CSE Buddy is an educational mobile application designed to help users prepare for the Civil Service Examination.

2.1 Free Features

• 500+ flashcards across 5 subjects
• Study content browsing (limited)
• Basic app functionality

2.2 Paid Features (Subscription Required)

Basic Tier (₱199/month):

• Full access to 2,400+ practice questions
• 50 study levels across 5 subjects
• Unlimited quizzes
• Mock practice exams
• Progress tracking and analytics

Premium Tier (₱349/month or ₱899/3 months):

• All Basic Tier features
• 18 video explainer lessons
• 18 audio explainer lessons
• Ad-free experience
• Priority customer support

2.3 Trial Period

New users may receive a free trial period (3 days for Basic). After trial expiration, you will be downgraded to the Free Tier unless you subscribe.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

3.1 Subscription Plans

All subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process payments directly.

3.2 Pricing

• Basic: ₱199 per month
• Premium (Monthly): ₱349 per month
• Premium (3 Months): ₱899 per 3 months

Prices are subject to change. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

3.3 Automatic Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

3.4 Managing Subscriptions

iOS Users: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions

Android Users: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions

You cannot cancel subscriptions within the CSE Buddy app itself.

3.5 Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds for partial months or unused time
• All refund requests must be made through Apple or Google

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.2 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

5.1 Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers)
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Share your account credentials
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials
• Resell or redistribute App content

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of CSE Buddy, including study materials, questions, videos, software code, and trademarks, are owned exclusively by CSE Buddy and protected by international copyright laws.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Educational Disclaimer

7.1 No Guarantee of Exam Success

CSE Buddy is a study aid and review tool only. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing the Civil Service Examination.

7.2 Content Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of all content. Exam formats may change.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 "As Is" Service

CSE BUDDY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the past 12 months, or ₱500, whichever is less.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Philippines.

11.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, contact us at mawallildevop@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution.
